Distances

15 minutes by car in Blackville: Medical service, Supermarket, Restaurants, Fishing Supplies, Amunition, Teller Machines, Wine and Beer, Videos, Gas, Ranger Station.
Royal Canadian Mounted Police = RCMP.
On weekends music with local Folk-Groups.

30 - 50 minutes upstream in Doaktown, Boiestown: Salmon Museum, Timber Museum (Boiestoewn), Historical Museum and Doak's Fly Fishing Shop, Tim Horton's Coffee Shop.
In Doaktown you find a 9-Hole Golf.

30 - 50 minutes downstream in Miramichi (Newcastle): Hospital, large Shopping Centers, Deparment Stores, Banks, Restaurants, Clubs, Billiard Hall, Bars, Movies, and any other entertainment.
Fish breeding Station in Red Bank with visitors-center and guided tours.
Miramichi is the economical and cultural centre.

1 hour: On the shores of the Atlantic ocean. Picturesque villages, Provincial Parks, sandy beaches, swimming, angling, sailing and … dreaming. Well suited for a one day trip from the lodge. Hotels, Motels, B&B's are available for those who wish to stay more than a day. Restaurants with fish, lobster and other sea food.
During the summer you find here and there music festivals (classic and not so classic).

1 ½ hours: New Brunswick's capital Fredericton, University, large library, Museum of natural history, Shops, Sopping Centres, Restaurants, Bars, Movies and any kind of entertainment. Fredericton International Airport.

2 hours: Moncton. The new economic capital of New Brunswick with international Airport, (Direct flights form/to Europa). Moncton is a small but modern town.

3 hours North: Québec, (Gaspésie). Do you speak French?

4 hour South-East: The lovely Atlantic Province of Prince Edward Island as well as Halifax, Nova Scotia.

You should know:
New Brunswick is the centre of Acadia, an autonome civilisation of Frensch speaking Canadians.

From Bostenyou will need about 8 hours by car.
First take US 1, then turn onr Interstate 95 and from the Canadian border take Prov Hwy 95 and finally Prov Hwy 2.
